Michelle Lewis!
Tracey Michae'l Lewis is
an author, poet, and playwright whose virtuous writings have afforded
her readers an authentic experience. This talented writer has
spent a lifetime cultivating poetry, fiction, and plays devoted
to examining the human search for identity and spirituality.
As a writer, Lewis' collection of poetry, Collapsed on the
Wings of a Sigh: a Poetic Journey won Best Poetry Book
of 2002 by the SCBC Independent Publishers Awards. She is also
the author of the collection, Divine Nepotism. This compilation
explores every aspect of human nature while showcasing Lewis's
contemporary adaptation of composition. Dubbed as a young Nikki
Giovanni, Divine Nepotism was recently endorsed by the legendary
poet/writer. Her debut novel, The Gospel According to Sasha Renee,
is a highly anticipated work that seeks to bridge the widening
gap between commercial and literary fiction. Lewis has 4completed
work on several screenplays, and the critically acclaimed stage
play, KHEPERA, which ran off-Broadway in 2002. Additionally, she
has been published in a number of magazines including, Equal Opportunity,
Club Praise, African American Career World, Workplace Diversity,
and SpokenVizions. Ms. Lewis is also a part-time professor of
English at New Jersey City University and Essex County College.
